ASOClimb

Free App Store and Google Play keyword checker

Type a keyword, pick the App Store or Google Play and a country. The checker reads the store’s search results now and shows the first ten apps, a modeled popularity index, difficulty and opportunity with the reasons behind each, and related searches. Paste your own listing below to count characters and catch wasted words.

ASOClimb Wow Keywords

ASOClimb Wow Keywords starts from your app instead of one keyword: it gathers candidates from your listing, your competitors and store suggestions, scores each one the same way as this checker, and writes a title, subtitle and keyword field (or a Google Play title and short description) that fit the limits.

Questions

Is the keyword checker really free?

Yes. There is no account to create and no card to enter. Each connection gets a small number of checks per day, and the page shows how many are left. Signing up to ASOClimb’s Free plan adds daily rank tracking, rank history and competitor research.

Is popularity the same as Apple or Google search volume?

No. Neither store publishes search volume. Popularity here is a modeled index built from how early the store suggests the term as you type and from the ratings of the apps already ranking. Use it to compare keywords with each other, not as a count of searches.

How is keyword difficulty worked out?

From the apps ranking now: how many ratings they have, how many carry the keyword in their title, how well they are rated, and whether large publishers hold several of the top positions. The “why” panel shows each part for the keyword you checked.

What does opportunity mean?

Opportunity weighs modeled popularity against difficulty. A higher number means more modeled demand for how hard the current top results look. It is a way to rank your options, not a forecast of rank or downloads.

What does the metadata counter check?

It counts characters the way the limits apply, one per Unicode code point: App Store title 30, subtitle 30 and keyword field 100; Google Play title 30, short description 80 and full description 4,000. It flags repeated words, singular and plural pairs, spaces the keyword field does not need, and other apps’ brand names. Nothing you paste is stored.

How is Wow Keywords different from this checker?

ASOClimb Wow Keywords starts from your app instead of one keyword: it gathers candidates from your listing, your competitors and store suggestions, scores each one the same way as this checker, and writes a title, subtitle and keyword field (or a Google Play title and short description) that fit the limits.
