How the numbers differ
VisualASO reads Apple Ads popularity on Pro and shows rank only for Google Play, because Google publishes no search numbers. ASOClimb shows a modeled popularity index for both stores and labels it as a model.

Does VisualASO need my own AI?
For AI writing, yes: it works with Claude Code, Codex CLI, an API key or a local Ollama model and adds no AI fees of its own. ASOClimb’s Wow Keywords needs no AI account or key.
Does VisualASO run on Windows or in a browser?
No. VisualASO is a Mac app for macOS 14 or later, and its site says there is no Windows version. ASOClimb runs in a browser.
